Quinoa is just one of those things you just have to get used to. Kind of like beets. But that’s for another post.
In my household we eat rice all the time, to be precise, we eat rice everyday. It’s a must have with evening meals.
But I’ve been trying to get into more healthy alternatives to rice and one of the things that kept popping up was quinoa.
So I researched, what in the world was it?
Well the short version is, it’s a grain. A very nutrient dense grain. That seems to be getting popular for all it’s amazing health benefits.
I’ve now added quinoa to our dinner menu, and it is slowly becoming more acceptable. Nothing beats rice. But, it’s a good runner up. Once you get used to it.
The trick I’ve found is the liquid, broth is so much more flavorful than water.
It’s quick and easy, and ready in less than thirty minutes.
That’s a win in my book.
